My name is Harriet. I am interested in description and access issues of LIS, both traditional and digital. While I have a strong technical background, I also have a keen appreciation for old and historical items and their preservation and access. I hope for a job someday that would combine my strengths with my interests, allowing me to encounter a variety of historical materials, to meet interesting people, to think creatively, and to develop my skills.
Currently, I chair the ALCTS Fundraising Committee and we are working hard to meet our FY 2017 goal! I am the Communications and Web Coordinator for the NLA Technical Services Round Table. While in graduate school, I was also involved with the student chapter of the American Library Association both as Treasurer and as fundraising Chair.
I completed both a MLIS and a Graduate Certificate in Special Collections at UIUC. Later, I completed a Post Master's Certificate in Digital Archives from SJSU. Eons ago, I got my BA in Computer Science from Wellesley College.
